Spring Brand Update

Hi clariSEA Fam!

I wanted to check in again, say hi, and bring you up to speed on what we're working on behind the scenes.

I realized over the past year that it makes sense to refine our assortment. It will help streamline our operation and free up time to focus on the production of products you guys rely on most. This will gradually lead to faster order processing times and create room for new items that can benefit you and your skin even more.

Here's a list of the products we'll be discontinuing over the next month or so. If they are some of your favs, be sure to grab a few before they're gone.

Hello clariSEA Community!

We would like to take a moment to thank you for your orders, your understanding and your patience this year. Our dedicated customers are what keep us going. And we make every batch with the health of you and your skin, your values, your priorities and your budget in mind.

Small Price Increase & Shipping Update

Small Price Increase & Shipping Update

Hello clariSEA community! It's been a while since we've connected.

You guys have kept us very busy over the past year and a half. Thank you for your trust, your business and your continued support.

We moved into a new space in June 2020 and have had our noses to the grindstone ever since, working on customizing and upgrading the space to suit our needs while keeping up with your orders and the demands of COVID.

I will be sending out a broader brand update soon that outlines our plans for the next year including sustainable packaging upgrades (yippee) and new product launches, but first I thought it was important to update you on a small price increase we just implemented on certain products. Along with an update on shipping costs and delivery times.

How to Use Sea Salt for Acne and Saltwater for Acne

How to Use Sea Salt for Acne and Saltwater for Acne

Have you ever noticed that your skin looks clearer after a seaside getaway? Maybe you thought it was the sun or just the relaxation from being away. While a little R&R and Vitamin D can help improve the health and clarity of skin, the main reason why your skin looks clearer after a seaside getaway is because swimming in the ocean helps clear up skin. The minerals in the ocean work naturally with the pH balance of your skin to return it to its purest state...

How To Improve Your Moisturizing Routine

How To Improve Your Moisturizing Routine

First, it was a never-ending pandemic and now, depending on where you live, it's also a never-ending winter. For many of us that means dry, raw hands from endless hand-washing, hand-sanitizing, cold weather and wind.

And it’s probably not just your hands at this point. Maybe fine lines are looking a little more pronounced and your complexion is kinda dehydrated and lackluster. Ugh.

Here are some tips to help maximize the effectiveness of your moisturizing routine in order to improve the health, vitality and strength of your skin and get back a little of that pre-winter glow...without causing breakouts of course!

1) Your Hands: Have you noticed that your dominant hand tends to bear the

An Update from clariSEA

To Our Loyal clariSEA Community,

Update: August 30th, 2020 - We set up the final equipment in our new location last week and our tube sealing machine was not working. We been traveling to the old location to use it since early July. We did get it up and running this weekend and we are now catching up on orders. We are about 7-10 days behind and working as quickly as possible to get everything shipped to you. Everyone has been so patient and understanding. Thank you so much.

Update: July 27th, 2020 - There are shipping delays with order #s 15984 - 16307 that contain the Ocean Cleanser. Those orders will ship this Wednesday and Thursday. There continue to be extreme delays within the supply chain because of COVID-19. Those issues are causing production delays on our end. We are continuously working to get a grasp on it. The Organic Rosewater that constitutes the majority of our products has been the biggest challenge. The most recent batch of the Ocean Cleanser was supposed to be finished last week but its completion was delayed by a Rosewater delivery issue. We have received the Rosewater so now it's a matter of filling and sealing the tubes.

The current order processing time for all orders right now is 4-5 business days.

Update: July 17th, 2020 - We are back to our normal order processing time of 2-3 business days.

Update: July 8th, 2020 - We have been working hard over the past week to get set up for order processing in our new location. We will begin to process orders again on Friday, July 10th. I'm do sincerely apologize for the delay. I know many of our customers rely on our products to keep their skin clear and we do not take that lightly. If you need your order shipped out more quickly, please email us: customercare@clarisea.com. We have been working non-stop since the beginning of the pandemic to stay on top of order processing and we will continue to do that. Current order processing times are 5-7 business days. We will update you here when we are back to 3-4 days. That should be within the next 2 weeks. Thank you for your business and support!

Update: June 11, 2020 - We are currently processing orders 15598 - 15619. Orders containing the Pretty Skin Moisturizer, Pretty Skin Vitamin A + C Oil Serum & Boost and Daily Glow Clarifying Rose Cleanser will ship today, June 11th and Friday, June 12th as we fill those batches.
We continue to follow all necessary COVID-19 precautionary and preventive measures at our facility in order keep our team safe and our workplace safe, clean and sanitized.

Update: May 2, 2020 - We are currently shipping orders placed Wednesday, April 29th. A handful of older orders containing the Ocean Saltwater Cleanser will ship on Monday, May 4th. We are working as quickly as possible to fill all orders. We manufacture all of our products (except the soap bars) in house, in small batches. There have been some delays in the supply chain, which has lead to some orders being delayed shipping out. We are always working to improve our processes so this doesn't happen. We don't want to leave our customers hanging. Thank you for your continued support!

Update April 26, 2020 - We continue to ship orders as quickly as possible. Thank you for all your orders and support! Today is Sunday, April 26th and we are shipping orders placed Thursday, April 23rd. The order processing lead time continues to be about 3-4 business days. Our worker bees are still staying home most days to stay safe, and to help keep the community safe. The biggest challenge we're facing these days are supplier lead times. Under normal circumstances, we could order a few gallons of Organic Glycerin or Organic Rosehip Oil from our USDA Organic suppliers, and they would ship within 3-4 business days. Now the lead time is about 2-3 weeks. Most suppliers have been inundated with orders for any ingredient or component involved in the manufacturing of hand sanitizer. The ingredients we order are not what is in demand, but since the suppliers are so backed up, we just have to wait our turn. So we diligently check our supplies and stay as far ahead on replenishment as possible.

If you saw our stories yesterday, you know that we are working on a Hand Cream to rescue your hands from their current sad state. Once the product launches, we will work towards finding the best way to donate as many as possible to our local health care workers, who need it the most. Stay tuned for that! Over and out for now. - Alison :)

How To Keep Skin Glowing Through Fall

How To Keep Skin Glowing Through Fall

That sun-kissed dewy glow, the one that kept you going all summer long...all of a sudden the temperature drops and, poof, it's gone. Your skin becomes dry, flaky, maybe even peels a little. As the air gets colder, the humidity in the air drops and the natural waters within your skin evaporate more quickly.

How Microneedling Helps Acne Scars + More

How Microneedling Helps Acne Scars + More

Customers have been asking what micro-needler I use and how best to use it. I've had a few over the years and just recently purchased this one from Amazon for $10.99. It works well but is a little on the strong side, meaning, the needling is intense. I've definitely seen an improvement in some of my old white acne scars and a slight in improvement in my hyperpigmentation as well.

BHAs, AHAs, PHAs (Polyhydroxy Acid) and Niacinamide

BHAs, AHAs, PHAs (Polyhydroxy Acid) and Niacinamide

You've probably seen these ingredients popping up on social media, in product names and ingredient lists. They become trendy and popular in waves; Niacinamide Vitamin B3, Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) - Glycolic Acid, Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) - Salicylic Acid and Aspen Bark Extract, and now Polyhydroxy Acid (PHA) - Glucono Delta Lactone. They've actually been hiding out in our ingredient lists, working their magic on your skin for years. Science along with years of testing and research led us to them. We use them separately and synergistically to reveal your complexion's best possible texture, glow and tone without leaving behind a trail of irritation. Here's a quick summary of which ingredients are in what products and how each one is helping your skin in its own unique way:

What Does USDA Organic Skincare Mean

What Does USDA Organic Skincare Mean

You may have wondered what USDA Organic Certification means for a skincare product. It means exactly the same thing as it does for the USDA Organic food you see, buy and eat. The ingredients that can be used in USDA Organic products (food, skincare, etc.) are limited and that can be hard when formulating the best possible skincare products for problem skin.

4 DAY SkinFood Challenge

4 DAY SkinFood Challenge

Instead of buying another new product that you probably don't need, my challenge for you this weekend is to stick to your skincare staples and "refine" your food intake instead.
